As prices continue to drop, smart phone sales globally have, according to Gartner, surpassed sales of feature phones. This has been true in the U.S. for a couple years. In Q2 2013 smartphone sales rose 46.5% to 225 million while feature phone sales dipped 21% to 210 million.
When you can count on everyone at your event or venue having a smartphone, how does that change things? Instead of a platform to experiment cool new ideas, doesn’t it become the default place to do everything?
