Boston Globe Travel Show: 2014
The Boston Globe Travel Show is a three-day event featuring a multitude of travel exhibitors and suppliers, all showcasing a variety of travel destinations, both exotic and domestic. Every year, more than 20,000 prospective travelers attend the Travel Show in the hopes of booking their dream vacations. A unique feature of this app is the capability for users to rate beers at the show’s “Craft Beer Pavilion”, with a live leader-board showing the top brews at the show.
The Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail Foundation supports Boston’s 2.5 miles of red brick line that connects 16 of the most historically significant landmarks of the American Revolution. This app enables tourists to venture out on their own to discover the historical wonders offered by the Freedom Trail, making the trail more accessible to more people.
The O+ Festival is a three-day festival of arts, music, and wellness run by the community of Kingston, New York. The participating artists use their talents as compensation for health and wellness services provided by doctors, dentists, and other medical professionals. For this event, TapWalk successfully organized the three-day schedule of numerous performances across the Kingston area, making the event more accessible and easy to navigate the app’s users.
Texas Conference for Women
The Texas Conference for Women, located in the Austin Convention Center, is an annual gathering of thousands of women aimed at empowering females in all aspects of their lives. With a number of exhibitors, workshops, and speakers, the conference’s schedule is always very full and intricate. TapWalk’s ability to organize all of these details and provide a comprehensive schedule (in addition to many other necessary features) is a testament to the benefits of having a mobile app for such events.
Every year, Northeastern University’s Research, Innovation, and Scholarship Expo (RISE) showcases the research and discovery of hundreds of the university’s most groundbreaking students and professors. RISE serves as an exhibition of Northeastern’s engagement with use-inspired research and solution focused innovation, while also providing a platform for attendees to observe and network with their fellow innovators. TapWalk provides an easily accessible guide to all of the presenters and their work, allowing for users to tailor their experience at RISE to their own interests.

The historic Granary Burying Ground is “home” to hundreds of famous founding fathers and early Bostonians each with fascinating stories. Because the burying ground is a historic site, signs can’t be added to reveal those stories to millions of yearly tourists. A mobile app for a historical district is the perfect solution to make that buried history available to everyone.
Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce
The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce is abounding with all forms of art from pottery, to glass and metal work, to performing arts. The Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce produced three “sister” apps – mobile guides to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket, to give visitors easy access to all of the wonderful art surrounding them. The apps provide tourists with a directory of artists, art studios, and galleries on the Cape and Islands.
Jefferson City, MO is a city rich in historic significance and tourist attractions. This mobile guide to Jefferson City includes maps, historic sites, lodging, restaurants, weather, social media, and more to help visitor’s easily make the most of their stay in this fascinating city.
Boston Running Film Festival
The Boston Running Film Festival ran alongside the Boston Marathon, presenting films with a theme or
subject matter related to running. The schedule of films was made available to attendees as well as a
voting mechanism for the “Audience Choice” award.
Douglas J Aveda Institutes and Salons
Douglas J Aveda Spa and Institute is a high-end salon and beauty school specializing in hair and skin care services. The salon wanted a way to intimately connect with their students and customers. Their app integrates a variety of functions that provide users with ways to find the nearest Douglas J locations, get information and hours, browse a photo gallery of hair styles for inspiration, make a reservation, and check the balance on their gift cards.
Normandale Community College
Normandale Community College is an urban two-year college serving primarily the communities of the southwestern metropolitan region of the Twin Cities. Within this app, we feature our ability to drill down to multiple layers of maps. Building floor maps are embedded within the campus map, and there are important Points of Interest throughout.
Fort Point Art Community Open Studios
The Fort Points Arts Community hosts two open arts studio weekends each year – one in the spring and one in fall. The FPAC mobile app helps visitors explore the art studios scattered throughout the Fort Point area. This app will help visitors plan their visits and guide them through historic Fort Point during the upcoming Art Walk open studio event or any time they’re in the area.

Specialty Retail Entrepreneur Expo & Conference is the world’s largest event for the $12 billion special retail industry. This app will help you plan your trip, guide you through the show while you’re in Las Vegas, and keep you informed after you’ve returned home.
DeLuna Fest, America’s original beach Party, boasts 1 amazing beach, 3 hotels, 97 bands performing on 5 stages and 6 off-site locations over 3 days. The TapWalk-powered mobile app for iPhone and Android provided festival attendees with the up-to-date information about performance times as well as a map of the entire festival area, shuttle bus schedules, vendor directory, and more.
The app provided access to information on all the bands including pictures, videos, Twitter feeds, Facebook pages, and much more. Personalized schedules let music-lovers build their own itinerary to suite their tastes and make sure they don’t miss their favorite bands.
MoMo Boston Startup Showcase
Mobile Monday is the world’s largest mobile industry community with chapters in over 80 cities worldwide. Mobile Monday Boston (MoMo Boston) started in 2006 as an informal meeting at a bar and since has grown into one of Boston’s biggest technology networking organizations.The MoMo Boston Startup Showcase took place at the MIT Museum with the 30 hottest mobile startups in New England scattered throughout the venue.The TapWalk-powered MoMo Boston app is an interactive guide to this showcase.
Mass Challenge Kiosk
Mass Challenge is the worlds largest startup competition and incubator – home to over 120 startups each year. We created an app for use as a kiosk to help visitors find the startups they were interested in.

1265 Main Street – the intersection of technology and nature with an urban twist. Located just 10 miles west of Boston, 1265 Main is a new 280,000 SF mixed-use development at the most highly visible site on I-95/RT 128 in Waltham, Massachusetts.
The 1265 Main app is an interactive guide to the real world space – letting the user view high quality computer renderings from multiple points of view and multiple angles – all before the project was built.
